Biomanufacturing Associate – Level 1

Capra Biosciences is seeking multiple motivated and detail oriented Biomanufacturing Associates to join our manufacturing team. These full-time positions serve a vital role in Capra’s production of renewable biochemical products. Associates execute various manufacturing tasks, ensuring product quality and adherence to strict regulatory standards. Ideal candidates possess recent work experience at biomanufacturing facilities, ideally with formal quality control and batch deviation analysis and reporting procedures.

  • $22 – $28 per hour

  • Execute production using established protocols & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Prepare production materials and maintain accurate documentation activities
  • Operate and maintain biomanufacturing equipment and instruments
  • Monitor critical process parameters and assist in process optimization
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Participate in cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining the laboratory, production areas, and equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Control and Quality Assurance, to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.
  • Identify and promptly report any deviations or issues in manufacturing processes
  • Opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.


Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Excitement to work in a fast-paced environment and help build a biotech company
  • US work authorization
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends or off-hours as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Must possess transportation to move freely between facilities
  • Ability to perform physical work duties which include routine lifting of 30 – 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on weekends and overtime (time and a half pay).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with bioprocessing equipment and instruments.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping skills.
  • Strong understanding of biomanufacturing principles and cGMP guidelines.
  • Prior experience in a biopharmaceutical/biochemical manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or related field) or equivalent combination of education & experience
